Cloud can pack a much bigger punch and he can absorb more physical damage, but Im not sure if he could hit Voldemort, who could just apparate farther away from any close range attacks, and hed have plenty of time to do the same for any bigger attacks, like Bahamut Zero. And if he can just get behind Cloud, it would just take one spell to kill him.

Cloud simply needs to cast reflect once he realizes hes against a magic user and GG.

If Cloud is equipped with the Safety Bit, then he has a chance.

Otherwise Voldy stomps.

Cloud in his many incarnations has unlimited customisation options. He could even be a better wizard than Voldemort, like in FFT - Math Skill even in his base Soldier class is pretty damn deadly.

If it's just a superhuman dude with a big sword then it is a lot closer, still giving it to Cloud though.

Cloud is both strong and fast, good at magic, and mobile, but he isnt very clever.

Anime Cloud, who knows. Ive only ever seen Advent Children and from that I think he could probably win, but it wouldnt be easy.

I'm pretty sure Cloud has been shown to move faster than Voldemort can react in Advent Children.

What happens if he gets chopped to pieces or charred to a crisp? He might not be able to *die,* but his body and quality of life can be destroyed. A defenseless baby put him down for fifteen years.

True, but all Voldy needs is one clean hit on Cloud, and hed dead. Plus, Voldemort is a master manipulator, and Cloud is very weak, mentally. So it isnt really a fight that Cloud can brute force his way through, like Link or whatever.

I don't see how voldemort wins. Let's just pretend Avada kedavra is non reflectable and 100% accurate, Cloud is still massively faster and stronger, Voldemort is mince before he casts it. Voldemort is just a dude enhanced by frankly pretty weakass harry potter magic, Cloud has the power of god and Anime on his side.

Voldemort's horcruxes wouldn't matter tbh.

When he "died" the first time he was in such a pitiably weak state he couldn't do anything. His return was basically complete luck that Quirrel stumbled upon him a solid decade afterwards. Cloud could "kill" Voldemort and though he wouldn't truly be dead, he becomes basically a non-factor.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that one. Still has the same issue as avada kedavra though. If cloud is aware that voldemort is a threat hes still mince, but I admit it's not the shutout I originally thought.

Funny, I have the opposite opinion (and I edited my initial post to reflect it). I think if they know what each other is capable of doing, Voldemort wins. Yes, the killing curse is a projectile, but Voldemort has ways of making himself undetectable. If he can get behind Cloud, its over.

Also, the Imperius Curse (mind control) has never been shown to be a projectile - you just do it and you take over the other person, so long as they havent mentally prepared themselves to withstand the spell. He Voldemort can get Cloud with it, he can just have him stay in place and then nail him with Avada Kedavra.

Honestly I was just ignoring the existence of reflect to make it sporting. Shit Cloud could come packing a reflect ring, mystile, final attack - Phoenix, added effect - death in armor, added effect - hades, etc etc etc.

IIRC, dragons have thick, magical skins that are able to deflect spells, which is what makes them tough to beat. And I dont recall there ever being anything in the books about Avada Kedavra being used against a dragon (I could definitely be wrong on that, though).

For the sake of this matchup, I think Cloud has to be susceptible to it, since all humans are. Just like Voldemort would need to be susceptible to the physical attacks and spells that Cloud can do.
