While petting the friendly stray Calvin, I discovered that there is a spot right around her solar plexus that is much softer. Like, the difference between petting a Chihuahua and a cat, that kind of softness differential. As such, to test the hypothesis I will need all CEople with cats to see if there is a similar spot on their cat's tummy. My theory on this has always been that area gets over groomed. They can't reach their neck or face but are constantly trying. I think it's the area they can reach highest on them so it's super soft.
