This, the calories you burn during cardio are just a bonus, since they are pretty small compared to the rest of the numbers. There is a good video of a super fit guy eating 10,000 calories one day, and it was not that difficult. The next video he tried to burn 10,000 calories in one day, and he worked himself to the bone for the entire day and was only able to get to 7,000, and he said it was absolutely brutal. Hell a marathon only burns about 2700 calories on average. Diet is definitely the most important thing for weight loss, you cannot out exercise a poor diet unfortunately. --- Hello world! ... Tried some HIIT today because my knees were sore as fuck 2-3 minutes on the elliptical and I definitely didn't think I was able to go as hard as I did on Saturday. Upped the intensity to 12 and just kinda wanted to go at a walking pace but went hard for 30 secs with 2 mins of slower walking ~1/3rd in when I powered through my knees dying.
