Watching the Chappelle video and looking at the photo of the guy afterwards....

I mean the bodyguards just went all in on the guy with kicks and punches. Are they licensed to do that? If normal Joe got drunk one night and punched a guy, but then that guy's friends ganged up on him, wouldn't they be charged with assault?

Depends on the state and county and city. Here in Portland, OR I need a license to do security work of any kind.

Oh, and btw what most people think is assault (like punching a person) is usually not actually charged as assault but instead things like harassment.
