because my package hadnt arrived even though the website said it did
it was an 80 dollar micro Sd card for my switch

anyway i got a full refund for it because it wasnt on my step and it wasnt at the post office
then my nephew told me that a store in town was also a pick up location and if it wasnt at the house or the post office it would be there.

then i had to call technical support back and cancel the refund
though people keep telling me that i should have just accepted the refund anyway
would there had been any actual consequences had i chosen to rip amazon off?

Probably not, so long as you didn't keep doing it.

You did the right thing. You should never choose to do the wrong thing, but people will tell you its actually good. There is an argument to be made that Amazon doesnt deserve the money and its better off with you; I believe that. Still, just because Amazon is inevitably evil because it is a conglomerate of a corporation doesnt mean its OK to steal from it.

thats just me, and I think you likely agree, but still would had been happier with the $80. And its totally ok if someone disagrees with me here. I would not think anything of a personal friend doing something of the sort. It really just comes down to your point of view and you should do what you feel is right.

yes

i could have bought power ranger or sailor moon figurines with that extra money
but then id be the kind of person who owns power ranger and sailor moon figurines and im not sure if im willing to commit to never bathing again

From what I can tell, Amazon is extremely lax about refunds and the like, or sending replacements. Never tried to abuse it myself, and theres probably a price limit on stuff theyd easily do that for, not that I have much interest in finding it out.
