When I interviewed, there was some talking down to me by one of the interviewers. She used to recruit for this group that Ive taken on and when I shared my metrics she told me to not expect to do the same here because they dont just hire anyone and talked about their high hiring bar. Insinuating my success was because of a low hiring bar at other places. She was super rude. Apparently it was in her feedback about me (I know someone who had access to it). She wrote it was a flag and I was going to be disappointed when I joined and realized how hard it was. Many others told me the groups Im getting are extremely difficult and to not to expect to make hires for 6 months, including my boss.

Well in 6 months Ive made 14 hires. I have another offer out too. The feedback from hiring teams has been excellent and I was told by management that they see me and want to make sure I have what I need to stay and be happy. That interviewer can fuck right off :)

Not really and shes apparently a known bitch. I shared feedback with my VP (who was the one to refer me in the first place) and kept her name anonymous but she instantly knew who I was talking about.

I imagine shes the older, jealous type?

so what do you think youre doing different than the other recruiters? idk much about the recruitimg world, but it sounds intersting...

Were the same age but she has far more experience than I do in recruiting. But I was an engineer before and I explained that my tech background is why Im able to perform the way I do but she wouldnt have any of it.

As mentioned right above, I have a tech background so I really understand what my clients are looking for. I have a high success rate when I submit a candidate because theyre generally exactly what they look for. One of my hiring managers told me it was a first for him to have so many good candidates to choose from lol. The other thing Im good at is actually sourcing. Most internal recruiters will wait around for applicants or referrals. Half my hires are people I head hunted and engaged myself.
