The description for Fairplay's archetype, "The Trickster," states that he is "fully aware that he has been cast to play the villain role and owns that title... He understands better than any other type that who he is on the show and off the show are two completely different people." Coach's archetype on the other hand, the "Don Quixote," states that he seems to genuinely believe that he is this legendary, idealized version of himself. So your perception of these two reflects those descriptions.
