Damn, we got some sad f00s here. I think they threw over 150+ pitches overall, the most for a combined no-no since that stat was tracked in the 80s? They mentioned some statistic like that. Even though I don't love the Mets or anything, those moments are pretty cool. Maybe it'll put a little more fire into the team and they won't implode in the second half this year.

Combined is fucking stupid. How is that even a stat?

A combined no hitter isn't as special, but it was still exciting in my opinion. This was against a really good hitting team that just came off a sweep where they scored over 30 runs. Also Diaz was incredible in the 9th.

They did get a combined 12 Ks though I believe. But 6 walks too.

A couple of the Mets pitchers got all their outs on the strikeouts too.

Idk I always think no-hitters of any kind are crazy and pretty exciting to see. Sure combined isn't as flashy but I think it's still impressive considering 1+ pitchers have to keep it going.

Yeah, Edwin Diaz struck out Harper, Castellanos and Realmuto in order. I think the commentators were laughing about how those three have a combined $500,000,000 contract for the Phils, haha. People can pooh-pooh the combined no-hitter, but it's still pretty fun. After seeing other ones collapse, and Kershaw's perfect game get ruined, it's good to see something like this. I dunno if they're on pace to equal last year's amount, but you never know.

Most people care about actual no-hitters. Combined though is where most people dont give a fuck, though.

Ill take praise for that over the inanity of caring about hitting for the cycle, though.

Hitting for the cycle is just a random coincidence thing no more impressive than any other game where a batter hits for multiple extra base hits. Its like being impressed when the time is 12:34.

I'm happy for them since their first and only previous no hitter was controversial.
