The vast majority of we currently use to generate power is used to generate electricity at some point. Wind turbines, water turbines, nuclear power plants, coal plants, etc. are all used to convert energy into electricity. Even gasoline that goes into vehicles is used to generate electricity to power components in the vehicles. We would essentially have to create an entirely new power grid and go through the process of installing that infrastructure globally.
