Yes and some of the hours are during working hours on east coast because it starts 11am pst. Lol

I signed up when this was announced so hopefully I get an email code

its so theres a way to get a guaranteed invite without overloading the beta servers because only some people will actually watch that much

Just turn a fresh stream on before you go to bed or whatever. Waste of electricity but I've done it more than a few times to help friends make partner or whatever.

I think the codes should go out in like an hour from what Ive heard

with micro transactions? I dunno about that. A lot of people that still play OW only log on for events to earn skins, theyd prob stop altogether if they had to pay money for cosmetics

If you own Overwatch you get access to OW2 multiplayer for free when it comes out. Jeff Kaplan had to fight hard for that.

Youll be eligible for a drop if you watch at least four hours of certain streamers (of course xQc is one of them) between 1PM ET and 9PM ET on Wednesday, April 27. You can switch between streams and your total watch time will accrue.

I have been playing Overwatch nearly daily since the Open Beta for the first one. Didn't get an invite, but I have been watching ml7 all day. Don't really want to play the beta that much as I have never been big on playing things that will just shortly after wipe your progress. However, still good to secure a spot in there if I want to check it out a bit later.

This is a good opportunity for people who don't like the game to express their stupid opinions like it is profound in some way. Like if you don't like a game, cool move on. No one cares.

I mean for what it's worth, there's some really drastic changes to the gameplay from what I've read/seen

I'm interested because the game has felt stagnant for a long time which was sad imo

There are a lot of changes, but considering they have been putting keeping OW fresh on the back burner for like two years now it is legit to question what exactly they have even been doing. It isn't that different. This single player better be amazing to justify it.

OW2 PvP is a free update for OW1

They did the same thing with Valorant and Riot paying these streamers in the 6 digits to play it and pretend to have a good time with the game. Sadly, it works.

I just got access to the beta. No email. I had to check the Battle.net client

Queue times completely killed the game for me. Made it completely tryhard and anti fun. I just went back to TF2

I signed up for the beta about 4 hours ago when I first saw this topic (although I thought I signed up a while back, but the website acted like my signup today was successful). Just got the email that I got in.

You dont have to actively watch the stream or anything. I usually just leave the tab muted (not the stream, but the chrome tab) when I want to farm drops. Just have to make sure they dont stop streaming; but Im sure Blizzard is paying them to stream through the day so

it's not an email thing it'll update your blizzard profile once you claim it from the drops menu on twtich

Why would they show 5 characters from OW's launch, while Reinhardt uses the exact same abilities he has in the first game? This looks exactly the same.

go to your blizzard launcher and go to ow and then click on the game version section and that's where it is

you don't really get any notification once its there, i just checked it a few times

You can cancel the charge, you now hold 2 charges of firestrike and the shield has less health (I guess to account for less enemies). Those are all pretty drastic changes, even if he doesn't have any ability overhauls

If you told me they patched Reinhardt in OW1 with these changes, I would have believed you.

I played like 600 hours of OW the first year or two it was out. I'm hoping to see some fresh ideas here is all.

There are characters with complete kit overhauls though? Some were barely changed, some got some big ability alterations, and some, like Bastion and Orisa, got complete overhauls.

Had a stream going on my phone all day today. Hid it in my backpack so people wouldn't think I was weird watching streams all day. Just got home and installing the beta now.

there are definitely issues, especially with damage numbers and accuracy. I'm point blank hitting headshots on ana and dealing no damage with Reaper. I switched to widow to take care of a pharah, and on her screen she hits me 3 times, edge attacks. On mine, 1.

But overall the damage numbers need to be hard looked at, as tanks are damn near unkillable, even with 2-3 people on them.
