Exact opposite can be said.

Many people "turn" liberal because they grow up in a echo chamber that is a conservative household.

That's why many Conservatives feel that college "indoctrinate" their children, when in reality, all college is doing is show many kids that lived a sheltered life in front of the same 4000 people in their small same thinking town that there are other viewpoints out there, and they're not all the "demon speak" their parents were telling them it was.

Bottom line, there are very shitty, closed minded, under-educated viewpoints on a ton of topics.
