There's probably some executive producer seething that some Asian man who knows nothing about making movies is pushing their big holiday hit into spring, but I can't imagine this will be anything but good for the movie itself.

I bet you money that the movie could've been finished like 3 times already, but everytime they're about to finish it up, Miyamoto goes "Wait wait, hang on... What if we change every single scene with DK in it so that he looks subtly at a flower, like he wants to eat it? That would be fun!"
And all the animators sigh and throw out all their work because of the Miyamoto Clause in that movie's licensing contract.

Seeing as how Illuminations is the studio making the movie, I automatically know it's going to be garbage. The only average movie was the first Despicable Me movie. Everything else they made have been terrible.
