I never thought it was the most important part of the franchise. I did wonder where Leon and co was but honestly felt like they weren't necessary. The only necessary thing in a mainline game is a Sephiroth fight.

Well, I'm not saying they were super important, just they were just a core part of things. They're fun to have around.

The lack of a Sephiroth fight in KH3 was super sad, though. RIP.

Yeah but let's be honest. The meltdown people had about it was completely cringe which is ironic about a KH game. You say they're fun to have around and people were saying how they were MANDATORY.

I will say that my favorite was Auron in II. I miss Auron.

kh fan meltdowns are always cringey as hell though, yeah
we have those guys insisting FF characters should've helped defeat Xehanort or whatever in some big Avengers Endgame moment (lol)...

but on the opposite side of the spectrum we have people calling others delusional for even thinking that FF characters might've shown up in KH3, and wondering why people even wanted them since they were never a focus of the property....which is like...huh??
