That was the ad I was thinking of when I entered the topic.

Though I fairness I feel like I remember everyone thought that ad was fucking awful even back then.

I love when he says that "kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school," as if that was even remotely true.

Meanwhile, "gays can serve openly in America" means there's something "wrong" with our country.

This is straight out of the Republican playbook - literally victimize a group, then lie about stuff to pretend they're the ones being victimized. It worked for them then, it still works for them now.
