Why would I align myself with one party and let them speak out of pocket on every issue. Who says I agree with anything let alone everything these dumbasses say? And even if we do see eye to eye on some shit, I dont agree with any dumbass echoing my opinions for me. I can do that my dumbass self.

Unfortunately, it's very much "choose the lesser evil" as in America and UK at least, one party is just downright evil and actively subverting democracy while the other at least offers token support to minorities, even if they likely won't fix many of the many issues plaguing our countries.

And lol at the other parties. They aren't options and ultimately with how our voting systems work, and I don't see Labour/Democrats voting to change them because too many are ultimately selfish and want their small bit of power.

The idea is not that members or supporters of a party are some hivemind who agree on everything, but that it is only through collective action that they can do any of the things they want to do individually.

You can vote for Dems and not claim it. You don't gotta pick a side, you just gotta pick an underwhelming person. I do agree that Dems do hold their people more accountable. But that bar is insanely low. Republicans literally encourage the worst from theirs. So, if you don't encourage it, you already look better for doing absolutely nothing. Bottomline is you're gonna constantly put up with feeling embarrassed by people in the set you claim if you pick either one. Im embarrassing enough on my own. I don't need their help with that :3.

People try to get on me for both sides and that's their only argument. While Im putting context to every reason I think the way I do. Been here years with this perspective and no one has every actually challenged the depth of what I say in any major way. And my perspective has been building while their argument has stagnated. It's not perfect. But it's always more in depth than the year before. They're gonna come to the realization they rejected any real conversation eventually

I agree with the majority of things you're saying. Except that we have to completely ignore when one side is doing stuff that impacts lots of people just cause the other side is far more blatant. Do we just ignore that the Democrats only do enough for the black community to try to manipulate their support and the completely shove them to the side when it's not relevant? Should we just tell the black community to shut up and vote between 2 parties that neither have their best interest at heart?

See, to me it sounds like you would support actual progressive politics than being a "both sider" Like the fact that you can recognize and criticize moderate Dem politicians for being extremely promising in their words but hardly ever living up to them is great.

Like I am very firmly in the Social Democrat/Democratic Socialist camp, and that leads to me being obviously extremely critical of Republican policies and things like that, but also critical of Democrat moderate positions that do nothing but appeal to their corporate lobby groups that are paying them to represent their beliefs and not the actual beliefs of the constituents that are voting for them.

There is a whole block of people that think this way, it's just that there is more people in this group that are extremely vocal and loud and can come off as annoying because of how toxic they can be, instead of normal people who actually want to elect real politician who are capable of actually giving change to middle class people instead of the elite.

it does not matter if both sides are or are not equally bad when the side that is generally accepted as the good one is as incompetent in impeding the bad one in any real way as the democrats are. the average person does not see any tangible difference coming out of their vote and at the end of the day no amount of reminding them that republicans are evil is going to make a difference
