I went back in my mid/ late 20s and I was happy we had some programs that allowed me to be with older adults instead of "traditionally aged" students.

I'm in a 1L program at 32 at FIU. I'm about 6-7 years older than most of the other students. I do my best to never speak with/engage with any of them.

So it's whatever I guess.

Easy mode once you pick up life skills like listening in class, doing homework, general competence.

I did my MIS degree at night in three years with 1 class remaing.

I entered college at 22 (i think it's the equivalent of community college in the US since it's only 3 years long) and now I'm close to the end

Why what, go back to school in your 30s? Or why ignore all the younger kids in my class?

I went back to school, cause I was fortunate enough to come into some money, and could realistically afford the education without going into debt.

I ignore the young kids, because I'm 32, and married. Talking to someone under 25 that doesn't work for me seems like a nightmare.

morning/afternoon classes: 18-20 year olds who made me feel like a grandpa at only 25, didn't make any friends

night classes: people in their 20s and 30s there for a career change, felt a lot more my speed

I can understand if he was referring to dating", but never understood the "my friends should absolutely be the same age as me otherwise I don't talk to them.

Felt like work with more breaks. Nothing notable. I doubt anyone noticed, shaving takes ten years off my face.

You haven't seen the topics on here, then...
Claiming even talking to someone not within 3/4 years of them outside of a work environment (or family setting, and even that seems limited) is an absolute creep, etc...
Why even bother taking the chance?
What are you going to gain from the experience, that you couldn't get from other people your age?

I graduated when I was 22, took a year off, and then went back for another. It was a lot easier the second time around with just having a year off from school and just being more motivated. The only thing that was bad was I had lost my ability to pull all nighters to get school work done.

I hooked up with one girl there but that was a fucking terrible idea.

Dont sleep with girls who work with you and girls who youre going to spend three to four years in classes with. Its not worth it.

Went back in around 27-ish I think, having supported myself through minimum wage hell for years at that point made it easier for me to apply myself I guess. I didn't have any issues socializing to the extent I do (I'm not looking for a BFF, but I'll go hang out with a group at a party or what not).

Went to a normal number of parties, would go get lunch with people from classes, slept with a few girls of varying ages when it would happen.

The degree definitely has put my life in a better place than it was headed then.

Being friend is not about gaining something from someone. It's about hanging out with common interest. What a weird question
