I use to think I'm going to succeed in life just so I could prove all my doubters wrong and throw it in their face. But I later realize how dumb that is. Why would I only want to succeed just because they said I couldn't do it? That would mean I'm doing the work for others I shouldn't even care about, and I wouldn't be truly doing the work for myself. IMO, wanting to be successful should be something from your own personal desires, from within and not from any bad grudges from people. When I realized I want to succeed so I can have a better life for myself and the people I truly cared about, it was one of the ultimate feelings.
