paperwarior 04/19/22 1:01:21 PM #2:	The patch is the new data, changes to make. The full game after patch is 46GB. Those updates could be applied in many different places throughout the game's data. While "update" size being the entire size of game seems inefficient, I'm not sure what it actually means. It doesn't affect the disk space use. banananor 04/19/22 6:59:44 PM #3:	it did- i should have clarified earlier! this was for the steam version of elden ring, but this has been happening a lot with steam games in general. it'll take a few minutes to download something and half an hour plus to go through and modify every single file i wonder if it's some kind of security feature to detect cheats or mods --- You did indeed stab me in the back. I haven't had extraordinarily long Elden Ring update installs that I've noticed, although I think it does them on its own normally.
