45 day time limit yes. Plus DC had deal with HBO Max to put all their content on there anyway so it makes sense. All the live action and animated dc content is exclusively on max now including streaming only and the CW DC shows like Batwoman, Clark and Lois, Pennyworth and Stargirl.

Definitely gonna watch it. Didn't like the random, I guess... Riddler appearing in the guys house? That whole scene wasn't very good.

And then the build up of how everyone is scared of him... all you have to do is look at the shadows... he's the shadows...

And the first guy who sees him says "Who're you supposed to be?" Wut.

That opening did such a damn good job at establishing Batman as this terrifying vigilante. Loved the criminals seeing the signal and looking into the shadows thinking he was going to appear

I thought so.. until the literal last dude. I thought they were building really well and then the guy acted like he had no idea who he was. It made no sense in context of what they were building to.

My personal favorite Batman movie. They nailed the characterization for Batman, some excellent performances and the tone is pretty much perfect.

The 3rd act could have been condensed a bit and I feel like a lot of it was WB feeling like they needed a big action set piece to end the movie on, since this movie is even more of a straight up crime-thriller/detective story than the Nolan trilogy. But didn't detract from my enjoyment at all.

I took that as he knew who Batman was and that people were afraid of him but had never personally seen him before so out comes this goofy looking motherfucker in a batsuit and he got cocky like "this is the guy everyone's so scared of?"

But I haven't watched it since it came out and didn't watch the youtube clip so maybe remembering it differently

They also make a point throughout the movie to mention the rampant drug use throughout Gotham, so the guy could've also been too doped up to even be terrified.

I guess I can understand that idea. But... the way they were building it.. with a few guys running when they saw the bat signal... it just didnt make much sense for this guy to show tough guy status. I guess personally it would've hit home more if everyone realized who it was and was scared. Even if they came at him, he beats them down. Just my thoughts on not having seen the movie yet and this being the first thing I've seen other than trailers.

This movie had some of the best fight choreograph for a Batman film. Though I agree with James Rolfe on a funny fact Batman suit is bulletproof, but not his mouth. They always seem to miss his mouth, which makes this Batman the luckiest one yet lol.

I actually liked his Bruce Wayne. But I thought Bruce was more comfortable as Batman than "Bruce Wayne in public" and that Bruce may have some sort of personality disorder

Best Batman movie since the Tim Burton two. Easily.

Easily the best.

I thought it was interesting that they used the guy who plays Tim Drake as one of the goons.

I'm so interested to see what they do with the sequel. They could adapt Hush, do another take on The Long Halloween, or even do the Court of Owls. Maybe even a mix. There's for sure gonna be elements of No Man's Land thrown in.

i saw it in the theater when it came out but i feel like rewatching it now that its on HBO Max. lol

Theres two spin-offs coming to HBO max. Like peacemaker had a movie role and show, the spin off will be about Arkham Asylum for one series and the second about the Penguin. Both had solid screen time in this one.

Most people aim for center mass. It's not like anyone that fires at a human being is gonna want to aim for their head in a dark room.

It's brighter than it should be, but most of the scenes are intended to take place at night, after all.

HBO Max is 15 a month and will play at the highest resolution. Just get a membership and cancel it.

Also it's not like he's omnipresent. He doesn't see every crime. He is where he is.

Uhh, that was pretty much most of Batmans adventures for decades, until they decided to start including him in the cosmic events that had gods like Darkseid involved. I mean his Rogues.Gallery is more or less a bunch of criminals without or very little physical power, but they stand out as having cool designs or interesting backstories.

Beginning felt a little tryhard, but once it started getting into the detective stuff, it really grabbed me. Had me for most of the movie till the ending that didn't know when to quit. They probably could've trimmed 15-20 minutes off the ending. One scene in particular that stuck out to me was when catwoman and batman were driving their separate ways at the end. They drove for waaaay too long before splitting up. But overall was enjoyable, would probably rate 7/10.

One last thing I didn't enjoy; the overuse of Ave Maria throughout the movie. When I first watched it, I thought "I guess they're getting their money's worth for the license." But then I looked it up afterwards and apparently its royalty-free, so I dunno why they made it so omnipresent.

I can understand hand gun shots, but some of these people were shooting with semi's and not one of those bullet spreads hit his mouth or the ricochets?

Like I'm not knocking the movie for it, because some conveniences are fine to tell a story, but it was something pretty funny that James Rolfe (the AVGN guy) mentioned.
