Life in prison. I think the sentence is technically 29 years but I'm not sure

Like four kids my mom has taught over the past decade or so have been put in prison for murder. Granted, she worked in the Special School District and dealt with the students who had severe behavior issues, so it's not that surprising.

I found out about a year or so ago that this dick-smack that I went to high school with was arrested and sent to prison for trying to smuggle drug-laced gummies bears in Texas.

Looking back on how he was like in high school, this was hardly surprising lol

Looks like they'd met in the military and both suffered some level of untreated ptsd. The other guy had robbed a realtor the week prior with his brother, and I guess that wasn't enough so he called up the guy I went to school with and they baited in this real estate agent.

Yeah. Guy was pretty nice and reserved in high school. I guess the marines changed him.

That's pretty much what the military does to everyone. Either the soldier was already a psychopath and the military taught him more skills to kill, or PTSD causes a normal person to become unstable and with the skill set to kill.

I worked with a guy at Subway years ago. Nice guy, pretty quiet and chill. Gave him rides home sometimes.

Then he stabbed his girlfriend like 17 times when she told him she was pregnant. "She had to die." was his response.

There was a guy I went to High School that is now serving 25 to life for murder.

I believe it had something to do with him killing a woman that pressed charges on his girlfriend, who was wanted for identity theft.

I used to ride bikes with a kid who would later slit a prostitutes neck

Played ball with a kid who would later get involved with gang shit and shot someone in the head. Was also pretty good friends with his brother who I think has a life sentence for drugs

Two boys who used to live across the street from us are now dead, one from an altercation with police, and the other I think died in prison.

Given what they were like and how their family--especially their mother--was like, I'm not surprised in the least.

Honestly, I wasn't really close with him to recall.

All I really remember about him was he was one of the "burnout' kids that missed class more than they went, and eventually dropped out in 11th grade.

According to this article, he had 574 grams of MDMA (ecstacy) laced gummy bears.

I laughed my ass off the first time I saw this. I was like, "Oh shit, I went to school with that dude!"
He also had an assault warrant.

Ten years ago I worked with this guy for three weeks at a Safeway gas bar. He was nice to me and didn't do anything harder than weed. He was fired though because he got caught lying about some customers, and since we were unionized, they didn't want to take any chances with any new hires before they passed their probabtionary period.

Had a coworker at Walmart for a little while. Seemed like an alright guy, and was fired for taking breaks too long.

Was watching the news a year or so later, and his mugshot popped up. He killed his girlfriend's 5-year-old son. Specifically, he swung him by the ankles and slammed him headfirst multiple times onto a bathtub

Sounds like a fun guy to be around.

I went to school with a psychopath. He did drugs in the restroom, verbally abused the teacher, conspired to stab me, and actually did stab me in front of the entire class. That was in fourth grade (9-10 years old). He was new at my school and it was also his last year there. My mother had him arrested by the police and put in a juvenile detention center. His father was in jail at the time, so it runs in the family. I wouldn't be surprised if he became a hardened criminal in his adulthood. No empathy, no remorse. He thought it was funny and never gave a damn about punishment.

But not all psychopaths are so overt. Many seem quiet or even normal. I learned how to detect them, and I can guarantee you that most aren't overt jerks. Unless they're also narcissists, they tend to keep a low profile during their everyday lives. One in every hundred people is a psychopath. Let that sink in.

Killing people doesn't seem like a normal job to me. Unless you're in a position where fighting isn't expected, you shouldn't treat the military as if it was just a normal job. War is ugly.

You do realize that a majority of servicemen and woman retire without ever firing a single round of ammo at an "enemy"?

But many military jobs are just normal jobs.

Clerical, teaching, carpentry, mechanics, etc.

Which is what the original poster you responded to was referring to.

You went from "they're all psychopaths" to "well, except for all the ones that aren't"

I know of 4 people I went to school with in prison. 2 might be out now. 1 for murder. Wasn't even the person he was shooting at. Hit a innocent bystander in a drug deal gone wrong. Another guy got busted for child porn. Then some twins got nailed for prostitution. I'm still wondering if there was a buy one get one free deal. Can't say I wouldn't have been tempted they where fairly good looking red heads

Most of us have normal jobs. Like people in services work at the dining facility, gym, and hotel. Personal just works in an office setting. Usually able to pull whatever data you need. Like when looking for certain personal information. Finance does literally nothing (but sometimes, checks on your finances or tells you to check your mypay). And most of medical is just prescriptions, optometry, and dental. Many of the people I work with work on aircraft. Like mechanics, but just for the aircraft at the base. Tbh, I dont think anyone I worked with have ever killed anyone. Most of them are gamers, cars guys, or gym buffs So, I repeat, Most people in are actually pretty normal Its just a normal job for most of us Not for everyone. But for most of us Which is what I said at first You said that the military messes us basically everyone. And I was explaining that most are pretty normal

I used to work with a principal who started at the school the same year I started teaching.

He was there for like...a year and a half before it found out that he had slept with a couple of students from the other county high school when he was a teacher there.

I can't remember exactly what happened. I think the two girls found out about each other and then started posting about it on social media not to out the piece of shit but because they were both still in love with him (gross).

The school suspended him, with pay, but he never got arrested. I'm not sure if the parents never pressed charges or if they just didn't have any evidence. Anyway, he ended up suing the school system to pay for the rest of his contract and they had to pay however much it was worth. Disgusting to say the least.

Guy i knew from the airforce that got kicked out for marijuana use was arrested for mugging a woman about a year after his enlistment was terminated. I used to talk to him all the time during and after work. I even caught him smoking mj outside of the dorms one night too lol.. Seemed pretty chill so I was surprised to hear this news.

He was an avionics specialist on the f16 just fyi. One of the better ones in the unit too iirc.

I just remembered that a girl that I went to school with killed a woman back in 2020 and sentenced to prison later that year. She got a manslaughter charge for driving while under the influence of a prescription drug.

She was to serve 6 years based on a news report but only served 2 years. I only found out she was out of prison because she began posting new pics on instagram about 2 months ago. She even posted a pic of herself making some hand signs infront of a police car that was deleted about a day later... The lady she killed was a single parent of a teenager.
