Great movie and with some good bits of comedy.

Sonic 2 aged not too great for me. Everything before oil ocean zone is 10/10 and everything after is a cheap, poorly designed death trap. I hate it.

Sonic 2 was a better game than the first one. Does that pattern hold true for the movies?

Trying to see the movie soon, looks fun.

As for the game, throw me into the "meh on Oil Ocean" camp, though tbh I couldn't tell you why. It's not particularly hard or cheap, I just don't like it lol.

Metropolis is "fuck you: the level" but now that I'm older and more experienced I appreciate the difficulty. As a kid this was my personal hell, though.

It depends on the person. For me the first movie was very good but mainly because I was expecting it to be trash and I had a surprising good time. The second movie was also great but I already was expecting it to be of similar quality (which I'd say it is) so the surprise factor was not there.

Overall I'd rate them equally good. If you care more about story or plot, then the second one is better imo.

Second movie was better in almost every regard, but having a lot less focus on human characters (minus Robotnik) was a big boost. There was one scene that dragged out a bit too long with them, but honestly very few nitpicks with this one.

Really hope Jim Carrey comes back, he's made for the role of Robotnik.

Agree, Jim Carrey does an excellent job. It's part of the charm of the movie.
