So Ive been boxing since I was 16, trained others, and have competed in events. So youd think when I say I met Mike Tyson that it was at a sporting event. Well, kinda but not really.

One day my father, who has been flying pigeons since he was a kid, tells me, HornedLion, coke with me to the pigeon auction. I was like, Great. . Cause if you know my dad this means he has some task for me to do that he doesnt really want to do himself. I figured he wanted me to carry a 60lb bag of bird seed he planned on buying or something. Being the obedient son that I am I went with him.

It was a pigeon auction held in the basement of an animal feed shop. Its a fucking auction for pigeons. Whatever your mind is imagining right now is actually correct. A table at the front, tons of chairs facing the table, and a guy using that fast auction speech.

Fifteen minutes in, a black guy comes down and raises his fist. I was like: . And then lo and behold, the champ himself came down. He wasnt really tall but his fucking fists were like those Hulk hands they sell at toy stores. He was really cool and humble. His body guard was the tough one; pushing back on people that were too hyper or asking too much. Mike had no problem taking pictures with people. Coolest fucking fighter/celebrity. Hasnt forgotten where he came from.

So yeah, I met Mike Tyson at a Pigeon Auction.
