Twice. The worst part is not eating anything with substance the day before. And even that isn't too bad. It certainly puts into perspective how fortunate I am to have food available at all times and don't have to go without.

Two worst parts imo. The thick ass Miralax shit you gotta chug all day and the anaesthesia itself

The shit you have to drink is awful. The anesthesia though is awesome. I love me some sweet sweet Propofol. At least for the 4 or 5 seconds you are conscious.

I can post a pic of the brochure or link to the company when I get home. If it's as effective I'd much rather do that than have a probe stuck in my guts

Funny how this topic like this is made at this moment. I actually just had one a couple of weeks ago. The procedure itself wasn't what I was worried about it was would they may have found. Thankfully all they found was two small polyps(which have been removed) and some hemorrhoids.

I mean I've read articles about how nowadays more and more younger adults are being diagnosed with colon cancer. I'm sure most of us here know what happened with Chadwick Boseman. Some start showing symptoms and ignore them for years because they think they're too young and even for those that do go to a doctor and tell them their symptoms, without doing any tests the doctor will just tell them it's hemorrhoids because of how young they are and then some years later they end up being diagnosed with stage 3 or 4 colon cancer. Colon cancer is not just an "old man's disease". Folks if you experience symptoms, talk to your doctor and see if they recommend getting a colonoscopy. If they don't, push for one. If your doctor still doesn't relent, then find a new doctor that will. Early removal of those pre-cancerous polyps can, and will, save your life. Don't put it off. Cancer doesn't go on vacation.

Colon Cancer isn't even the only cancer they can find with it. They thought I had a version of Crohn's disease called Crohn's Ileitis due to anemia and a swollen lymph node near my terminal ileum (part where large and small intestine meet). They did a colonoscopy to be sure. Turns out I had a type of Lymphoma called Burkitt's Lymphoma. So I'm absolutely with you, if you've got something weird going on in that region, get a colonoscopy, it might suck but it can save your life. It did mine.
