I fucking hate ulcer tree spirit. Whoever designed this boss should be fired and never be let to work on videogame anymore

Scarlet rot is absolutely the all time worst status effect in the entire genre. Makes Frenzy seem like a brush off the shoulder.

It's the Dragonkin in the rot that is the real issue

It's basically a weaker version of Dark Souls' Toxic

Once filled the Rot bar just slowly drains.

As it drains down it also ticks away your HP bar

Just beat him yesterday and I agree. I mostly hate that AOE spell he does that hits random areas along with an explosion. Also his grab is really hard to avoid if you aren't hugging him constantly.

Like Toxic, it drains HP based on a percentage of your HP instead of a flat amount.

They should be fired for as many times as it was lazily reused as groan inducing filler

That wasn't too much of a problem for me since you have summons. The one below with ulcerated tree spirit are worse. Ulcer tree in general is just trash design.

I didn't really have that much trouble with the tree because for some reason it has a hard time killing the Jellyfish summon and you can distract it for ages.

That Godskin Noble makes me rage internally though.

You cant summon in the grand cloister one. The problem is the area is full of rot

There's kind of a cheese spot you can go to that I had figured out, so it wasn't much of problem for me (still annoying though since it was kind of hard to hit and it was still capable of hitting you occasionally).

Those birds in Farum Azula can go die a slow, painful death though.

I eventually got lucky and he got stuck behind that tree trunk in the rot and I was able to almost kill him with arrows before he got unstuck and I finished him off

I didnt use the summons in this. I tried the mimic once for the dual crucible Knights fight and it trivialize it.
