I've played a little bit but I was thinking of waiting until I get PS+

How much do you care about the online components? Im a Souls vet and I don't care about any of that shit. I have ps+ but my ps5 is rarely hooked online since ai started using an Ethernet cord. I love the world not having the distractions of online mechanics. I have 105 hours and haven't gone online yet

The messages are mostly 'lel memes' and coop is really based on how stupid the other person is.

The online kind of sucks tbh. Things are too unbalanced for pvp and you have other, often better options instead of coop. Messages are often helpful. You'll miss out on those, which does make it slightly worse imo

There is one quest that you can't finish, but it's not necessary and I can't remember if you get an actual reward. It opens up an area that has an entirely different way to open it up as well. So at most youre locked out of like one item.

Edit: the reward item is a nonconsumable that let's you invade others. So worthless to an offline player

Pretty sure this is how they've been strategically doing it. Where the stuff you get that needs online is only relevant to online.

Playing offline is better. Blood pools and messages covering most of the ground ruins the visuals.

I enjoy the online aspect a lot but it really is just personal preference. You are missing out on some community shit and co-op but if you don't care about that then it's no biggie. I like that stuff tho

If you're not going to invade or use co-op there is no point. The messages souls players leave are always worthless at best or trolls at worst

I'm thrown off that you're the only other one I seen with this perspective, but other than that you spend all your time on the subject insulting the game lol.

Coop is definitely more fun than solo if your partner(s) is also experienced but that's just my preference. It doesn't really enhance anything but it is more of a breeze to join another game and not risk losing anything if you die.

Invaders fucking suck.
