Looks like shit

Why people like this game so much? Gameplay and graphics looks worse than Trigger.

The game is cromulent, but hard carried by its soundtrack.

Story gets more interesting as you go along, but they were clearly pressed for time which is why massive amounts of the story are dumped on you at the save point before the final boss via walls of exposition.

Including (major spoilers) "Oh, by the way, remember the recurring villain you killed a while back? He was your dad lol"

The element system is kinda fun, and as long as you treat the recruitable party members like humanoid pokemon (as in, just recruit who looks cool to you an don't expect them to actually have personalities) they're fun to mix and match.
