I've been continuing my first ever playthrough. So far some shit that's happened to me lately

• lost 35,000 blood echoes because I got cocky thinking I could run past all the enemies on the way to the witches of hemlock or whatever they're called
• Got absolutely ass-blasted several times by the hunter down to the right of the big cathedral (he has a sparky mace thing). I later went back to fight him and beat him in 3 hits. Classic souls.
• Like in every single one of these games, the minute you think you're sufficiently OP enough to relax around a low level enemy is exactly when that enemy stunlocks you to death

Currently unsure of my next move. I killed the warty hags. I also killed that sparky giant rescue dog first time, which was neat. The one in the jail. I think I have to go to the poison place next, which is a drag. I hate poison levels.

Use jump attacks

I've found it still punishes it, but it also rewards a certain level of greediness too. You still need to have a strategy and can't just spam attack to win in basically every encounter.

You let the blood get the best of you.

Youre mistaking confidence for cockiness.

witches of hemlock is one of the lesser bosses of bloodborne but the atmosphere of their area almost makes up for it. bloodborne is so good

I think I fucked up Eileen's quest. She just isn't there outside the chapel.

Also I stupidly invited that cannibal guy back to the chapel and he ate the old lady. He then turned into a big demon thing after I attacked him, and I was able to cheese him to win.

Annoyingly I died several times because I didn't clock onto the fact that some of the witches are fakes and you need to kill the real one.

Damnit but will it ever come to PC?

Bloodborne is very much the opposite of dark souls.

Enemies are faster and more aggressive, so you have to be too. Gascoigne himself beats out the habits people learned from dark souls 1 and 2, the passive, patient play.

Sadly they kept the enemy speed in ds3 and elden without adjusting the player to be the same.

She's neither. I've opened all the gates too, and I spoke to her in the sewers. I think going to the forest moves this quest forward, which I did :(
