Some are ok with change and some aren't.

I can see why people who like playing with builds wouldn't like Sekiro as much and people who mainly play a melee heavy build in all games anyway would. And Elden Ring is just a bigger version of what we lived from prior games. Some might not like the open world aspect, but if you do, it's basically just another Souls game with a big Hyrule-like field connecting the places. Plus, Dark Souls had big open areas in previous games too. So, you already had an idea of what Elden Ring was gonna be if you were a prior fan. And when it came out, it was exactly that.

I've never really considered Sekiro to be "Soulsborne" before. It's just way too different to really fit in with the rest

Meanwhile, Elden Ring plays exactly like Dark Souls 3, down to the weight limits, the equipment screen, most of the weapon infusions and some weapon arts, even the little oddities like trying to get on a ladder at the same time as your friend

DS2 made me stop buying their games. I'm assuming Sekiro at least has functional hitboxes.

That makes sense, I am almost exclusively melee in every single game I've ever played that gives you the option. Not surprisingly I love Sekiro so far even though it's kicking my ass

Have not played the Demon Souls remake.

Sekiro is just the tops for me.

I'd rather go back and play DS2 than DS1

Dark Souls 2 consistently rides the line of just okay, where as Dark Souls 1 takes a huge nosedive in quality between Anor Londo and Gwyn

DS2: SOTFS > Elden Ring > BB > Sekiro > DS1 > DS3

DS2>DS3>DmS>Bloodborne=Senior

Haven't played enough to place ER but it'll be in the top 3

DS1 fanboys are delusional, the game nosedives after Anor Londo. Lost Izalith is literally incomplete and houses the worst boss of the series, Tomb of the Giants is horrible even without the light gimmick, Demon Ruins is terrible as well, The Great Hollow and Ash Lake are mostly pointless, etc.

It has the worst replay value of the entire series by far.

Sekiro is still top of my list

bloodborne really is on a different level. it's fantastic.

I agree almost 100% with you. Might switch Elden Ring/DS1 but otherwise, I'm all for this ranking.
