Not necessarily a crazy law, bc it makes sense, but we have a prohibition on bear wrestling. It's just amusing that it had to be codified.

In my hometown of chicago...it's illegal to dine in a resturant that's on fire, (wonder if the chicago fire has something to do with that) have a pet with poor hygiene, and you might be considered vagrant for having less than 1$ on you. O_o

I know what state you're in entirely based on that, because I have a WoW friend in that state and I refuse to let him forget that no matter how much he might want to, he's not allowed to wrestle any bears.

Anyway, here's some from my state.

1 - According to the Texas Penal Code Section 48.02, its against the law to sell human organs. While this may seem like a no-brainer, it is illegal in Texas to sell your eyes, heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, skin and other organs or tissues. You are free, however, to sell blood and hair.

2 - People who sell their organs are guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Texans should also know that a conviction results in up to a year in jail and/or fines up to $4,000. This law also pertains to the purchase of organs.

3 - There are some cities in Texas where its illegal to go barefoot without a permit. In order to comply with the citys laws of sanitation and appearance, citizens must buy a permit for $5. They are then free to go barefoot.

4 - Texas outlawed owning the Encyclopedia Britannica set because a volume contains the recipe for making beer. Since lawmakers dont want home breweries, being caught owning the set can technically result in fines and/or jail time.

5 - In LeFors, Texas, it is illegal to take more than 3 drinks (sips or swallows) of a beer while standing up. Its not completely clear why this became a law.

6 - Eating your neighbors garbage without permission can land you in jail for trespassing and property theft.

7 - Its illegal in some cities in Texas to sell Limburger cheese on Sunday.

8 - In Texas, it is illegal to milk another persons cow. The Texas Penal Code states that doing so results in a fine of no more than $10. The current Texas law makes the act a theft of personal property.

9 - It is still against the law to shoot a buffalo from the second floor of a hotel.

10 - Those planning to commit a crime in Texas are required by law to provide their victims with 24 hours written or verbal notice. You are also required to disclose the nature of the crime.

11 - Flirting with the eyes or hands is illegal in San Antonio, Texas. This law is enforceable for both men and women.

12 - While you dont legally need a windshield to drive a car in Texas, it is illegal to drive without windshield wipers.

13 - In Galveston, you can be fined $500 for sitting on the sidewalk.

14 - In Dennison and Bristol, Texas, it is illegal to show your stockings. The penalty is up to a year in jail.

15 - No feather dusting in public buildings.

No idea if these are still on the books, but they always give me a old-fashioned LOL.
