Me and my honey was talking and it came up that in most of my dreams I am not apart of it. Like I watch stuff happen, sorta like I am behind a camera for a movie or something. She thinks it's weird. So I have to ask. Is it weird?

I am not a person in most of my dreams at all.

That's about right. I'm there, but I'm reacting to what's going on moreso than I'm in the thick of it.

Or maybe it's more accurate to say that my dreams don't proceed with consistent narratives. I'm in a situation and reacting to it. Then I'm in a different, kinda-related situation and reacting to it. Etc. Without linear action it's hard to say how much I'm participating.

But yeah, I'm generally there I think.

yeah I'm there observing but the situation is happening to me or around me, I'm not usually actively doing anything except experiencing the situation. it may be related to sleep paralysis since even if I am in a situation where I feel like I need to physically do something, I can feel that I'm paralyzed and can't actually move.
