I gotta make sure you know. If you're driving for more than a half a mile with your hazards on, it's not the vehicle that's the hazard, but the person inside it. Pull over for fucks sake.

I keep seeing it happen more and more and just wanna sure all the CEfolks know better.

But what if my wife is literally going into labor mid-drive? Seems fair to flip the hazards and speed like a bat out of hell to the hospital

I've been noticing that shit too. Like, the hazards aren't an excuse for you to drag your ass in any lane of the road. Pull the fuck over and deal with your situation.

Ive driven tens of thousands of miles for over half my life and Ive never driven with my hazards on. Its a great way to get stopped by the cops.

To be fair, you're literally indicating that an emergency is ongoing so they have a vested interest in seeing if they can be of assistance

That would check out if these people weren't going 15-20 mph under the speed limit on average.

In 25+ years of driving I don't think I've seen anyone just driving with their hazards on, towing another vehicle or having way to much crap in the bed of their truck sure, but not just driving around normally. Until last night, when I saw not one, not two, but three people driving with them on in regular driving conditions. And oddly enough all three of them were driving Toyotas two rav 4's and a tundra.

Reasons why someone could be driving slow with hazards:
-can't drive well in rain/snow/fog/etc.
-riding on a spare tire
-drivetrain is randomly acting up and they're taking it easy
-engine is misfiring and they're taking it easy

I mean, shit happens and with cars, it can happen randomly.

I've done it a couple of times when I'm just trying to make it to a well lit area. Once was a flat tire and the other was really shitty weather.
