I genuinely don't believe they could ever make a game that has more charisma and a sense of peace to it. They just revel in chaos and boss pattern memorization hack n' slash bullshit, to be honest.

Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. But they clearly found a cash cow and want to drink straight from the udders of it.

I get what you're saying. But when everyone else is penny pinchin their fanbases, they haven't gave in. So, it seems wsy more honorable. They're just giving us what we want

And that's how you squeeze 'dem udders, baby. Honor and virtue. They might not make great games, but damn they at least try to give their fans what they want.

Plenty of that formula around.

Tbh I think this whole complaint has gotten a bit silly.

If people keep buying the game in droves then it seems pretty likely they want more of it. So why wouldn't they just make more? Them using the same formula has meant they have been able to release several critically acclaimed games within a decade. Most developers have barely been able to release more than two games period.

if the developers take the time to start from scratch for every single game they make then it's going to take them a lot longer to make them. Which people also complain about anyway.

People are all to happy to whine about formulas being tired for games they're not overly interested in anymore. But I can guarantee there is at least one series out there where you would be totally happy just playing more of the same with each new release. So I tend to find the whining a bit hypocritical overall.
