They seem to be quite popular, but are they good?

We have our version in Canada called the Keg.
They're entry level steaks.

Last time i went to one it was salty as fuck and disgusting .

I mean everything was salty.

Lmao what? The Keg is more like a poor man's Ruth Chris than anything similar to Outback.

Outback is more like if Applebee's was a steakhouse.

If youre looking to go to a chain restaurant to get a steak, and you dont have a Texas Roadhouse in your area, its suitable. Not great, but you could easily do worse.

Went a few times before covid and they were ok. Ordered take out recently and they sucked. Burnt one steak to hell, took it back and the replacement was blue instead of medium, took that back and finally got a mediocre medium steak.

I went to one years ago. Never again though. I ordered a Ribeye, medium rare. First try, they tried to pass off a Chuckeye as a Ribeye. Second try, the now Ribeye was cooked well done. Third try, they barely seared it. It was blue-rare. Got a manager and he comped me on the Blooming onion we already ate.

They're both mediocre to bad compared to the better steakhouses I've been to in the Toronto area

The last time I ate there my steak tasted like it had lighter fluid on it for some reason.

It was pretty good back when I was a kid to teen but prices went up while portions went down and I haven't been back.

Nay. I prefer Longhorn for my big brand steak houses

Outback is great. Good burgers, not too expensive and bloomin' onions are tasty.

Do people actually get steak from chain restaurants? I feel like that's a waste of time and money. Steak is so easy to make half decent If I want a mediocre steak I'll just cook one at home. Unless you're going to a real steak house with a skilled chef, I don't see the point.

How I feel pretty much. Bloomin Onion is the only selling point for me vs going to a different steakhouse that makes better steaks.

No, I make way better steaks at home. Steak is one of those things I rarely eat out for.
