Try living in a neighborhood where your a-hole neighbors let their dogs roam around everywhere without a leash and you have to wonder if that one dog you don't recognize will either be friendly but covered in flees from being outside all the time or try to bite either you, your dog or both for no fuckin' reason and you tell me which is the superior animal. At least the roaming cats in my neighborhood just run the fuck away when they don't want anything to do with me.

Seriously, I've had both cats and dogs most of my life. They're both great in their own ways and I'll never understand the arguments about which is "better."

One thing I'll note is that basically every cat hater on the internet quite clearly has never had a cat and should probably stop saying stupid shit like "the cat doesn't love you."

Yeah that seems to be the case for more than a few of my neighbors sadly. There are 2 dogs in particular on another street that seem to always be outside, unleashed of course, at seemingly all hours of the day. Sometimes I'll see dogs I recognize forced to stay outside while it's freezing cold. And there's a German Shepherd on my street which I noticed was pregnant the other day, so sure, fuck it, let's just add not bothering to fix their roaming dogs to the list. Some fuckin' people just don't deserve dogs, man.

Both are dope, but I get do much more out of dogs. I get the love when cats just chill on your chest and look up at you tho. I don't like how they constantly move when you pet them tho. You guys talking about work? Petting a moving target vs. petting a still target lol. And you have to consciously pay attention to how you pet. It's not really a big deal, but I prefer getting to be rougher. Plus, a well trained dog is more appealing to kids. My 6 year old niece goes up to my dog, hugs him and goes "He's so cute" and "I love him so much" over and over again lol.

I love how when I give my dog some treats or wet food, he eats a few bites and looks back at me to see if it's cool to keep eating. I never even trained him to do that.

Cats can take care of themselves better. But Im still leaning to dogs are better (for me) They give me more cuddles. My cat likes to cuddle, but usually when Im sleep, or not trying to cuddle

My neighborhood has dogs like that. Those, most are actually pretty nice. Ive even helped some get home (some escape instead of actually freely roaming). But my neighborhood is littered with cats. Some are outside cats. Some are just strays. And its same in base. And at the bus station I worked at.
Cats everywhere The dogs usually just wanna bark though. And one that I know (my neighbors dog) came into my yard once to play with my dogs. Haha. The cats outside kind of suck because they rile my cat up. Then shes bitchy for the rest of the night
