Coincidence? I think not. Anyone that thinks masks don't work to slow the spread of airborne diseases is a moron.

That said, maybe it's good to give my immune system a workout as its been a bit since I was sick.

Feels like most of the world is just giving up on controlling the spread of it now. I kind of get the sentiment. We tried for years and it just seems impossible to get everyone on board so what's the point.

I've gotten colds and had more allergies in the last 6 months than the previous year and a half before that.

Maybe you just clock them more because it's always like "uh oh...rona?". Where before, it would be normal just to try to do you while ignoring it instead of letting it cloud your mind by focusing on it.

No, it's fairly noticeable when me and my family are sick as I have 3 kids. When they're sick, you know and remember it. We all went a solid year and a half not being sick which seemed like a minor miracle, because kids are always sick.

I havent been sick since 2018 which is really wild. *knocks on wood*

Word. My newly 6 year old niece is literally always sick. Trips me out. But it's not like a kid understands when you don't want them in your face lol. Then you're like "From their perspective Im just being an asshole" and you give in a lil to a lot. I actually am congested right now too and wondering if it was from my niece. So, yeah. The kids thing is a much more potent observation

I mean like 30-50% of the U.S. actually tried and a majority of people are vaccinated. We just cant do it fast enough. 65% have the second shot but only 29% have the third. People are completely giving up at this point.

Just did my rapid test and will see results in an hour or so. Again I don't think this is COVID but let's see.

Acting like you could do whatever you wanted all dandy after getting a shot was super obvious dumb shit as well. People used that as a pass to not care if they spread it without care because they wouldn't have it as bad as the people who didn't get the shot anyway. Or they believed the first person who said they can't spread it with the shot while somehow acting like they were smarter than the people on the other end also finding the first person that could unlock their mental chains and justify their entitled lifestyle. I remember celebrities and online personalities passing that narrative long after there was information that you could still spread it or the newer strains or whatever.

There was pretty much zero moments we went about this completely in the right way after the first couple weeks. We caved to the entitlement we've built up in this country pretty much immediately. There were a few people doing the most, but the most was never preached on a higher level because it was obvious telling people to do the most would immediately get you shut down and you'd become irrelevant to everyone. They had to baby Americans and the economy instead of tell everyone what we really should of been doing. Imagine if we would of just shut people who disobeyed the fuck down withhard punishment. We'd have a fraction of the death count. Im not gonna hypothesis that it would be completely gone tho

Covid has a 2-14 day incubation period, so odds are you caught it before the mask regulations stopped anyway.

masks dont work unless everyone else wears one. someone took off mask to cough/sneeze without using arm. i moved far away from the employee. could've been sick with coroni.

Yeah, kids are a walking disease vector, just another good reason to never have them.

For me, it's when they stay over and I wake up to them needing all your attention immediately. You can't do anything without them being like "Watch this! Let's do this! Blahblah long story about nothing!" Lol. God bless people who have the poise for that, but it ain't me. In my head Im just like "please PLEASE stop talking" and usually just straight up ignore them until I had my coffee and some food. Im a good uncle, but would potentially be a manic father lol. I need to know that I'll eventually get to be alone again.

i'm thankful that i don't have to be near them for 10 days due to spring break after friday.
so much easier to walk a dog during that time.
