This or a Dragon Eeveelution are probably the only way we'll actually get a new one If you'll notice, all of the Eeveelutions are types that were considered Special in Gen 3 (with the exception of Fairy, and even then, it probably would've been Special considering there are like... what, TWO regular Physical Fairy type moves, and at the time of its introduction, there was only ONE?), and the only of those types that we haven't seen is Dragon. In fact, a good way to remember which types are Special and which are Physical in the first three generations is to follow the Eeveelutions. Is it tied to an Eeveelution? Special. Is it not? Physical. The only exception is the Dragon type, which is neither a Physical type in Gens 1-3 (even though it really should've been) nor an Eeveelution at any point. --- The Bagel made me do it. Yeah, they play things way too safe, even when its contemporaries and competition are willing to lean more into the darker, more nuanced, and more outlandish concepts.
