That's a fair sentence.

It's not legal to just call someone a racial slur like that. If you are being aggressive and saying "fighting words" to someone that can be a crime. You can't, for example, threaten to hit someone and then sue them after they hit you.

Hitting someone is also a crime, but in this case both parties were outside the law and one died unintentionally, so it becomes something closer to manslaughter.

I cant pretend to know how the manager feels about it, but him being an old man using that word is worse imo. A dude over 70 was around before civil rights and desegregation, and has a ton of knowledge of what actually happened.

so like, a 30 year old dropping it is bad but that guy likely hasnt seen a time where that derogatory shit was common and fervently believed. Saying that shit just leads me to think the old fuck would love to go back to the good ol days.

So if the manager got emotional as fuck about it, and snapped, Id say thats understandable as fuck. Which is very different than consciously thinking if I hit this old ass man I can probably kill him.

Let's not forget that we also live in a country where someone like Kyle Rittenhouse can get off after gunning down several people in cold blood.

And yeah, Florida is notorious with its Stand Your Ground law,which basically makes it okay to kill someone if they look at you funny. If George Zimmerman can get off for following a kid home and then shooting him, this guy'll be ok.
