i know people are going to come at this with the whole "oh no, anyways" response, but this really is a sad situation for the poor soldiers who didnt even know they were invading ukraine, don't agree with the war, etc. being stuck under the command of putin

yes they signed up and yes it's fun to say "Then rise up and revolt!!!!!" but it's a fucked up situation where these soldiers are fucked either way

that said, if this cold snap were to prevent deaths of innocent ukranian civilians, then i suppose it's a net positive...

I based that on nothing other than the fact that I assumed if Russia was going to go this balls out that they would be competent enough to go further than that with the kind of shit they are packing. I guess I gave them too much credit.

Turning around and going home isn't going to happen. Their options are basically stay there, defect to Ukraine, or flee to Belarus.

Lmao....though Putin was a big history buff. Russia has the potential to win in paper, but they have screwed this up way beyond. Since they're running low in supplies they'll have to turn them off.

I don'#t think there is any fighter jet that can take down a 40 mile convoy and I suspect the Convoy has some kind of Anti Aircraft weaponry as well as protection from Russian planes.

Jets are also what Ukraine is most short on. The former president literally begged on CNN "We don't need you to send soldiers, please just send us som jets."

A lot of them did NOT sign up for anything. Most are conscripts. Forced to be there or prison. That means they do the absolute minimum because they don't want to be there
