I think of the character Claudia from Interview with the Vampire. She was 5 years old when she was turned. Her mind ages and develops, but her body doesn't. So, she has the mind of a grown woman, decades old by the end, trapped in a little girl's body. There's a small fight scene where the main character charges at a dude that effortlessly knocks him out, only to notice that the MC isn't holding the hatchet he had. He looks up just in time to see it flying at him. What happened is obvious, but the show still explains that the MC had thrown the hatchet earlier and hid his hands when charging.
