Thing is based on looks some people get more of pass to be socially awkward and creeoy than others, so you often have some of them dating better partners while the others are left alone. It would be cool if they just dated esch other but it doesn't often happen.

Excluding developmental and mental issues that make human interaction difficult, pretty much. Even the fattest, grossest, awkwardest person should be able to find someone as long as they set their standards low enough. Problem is they don't want someone on or below their level.

I don't know... Some of us are meant to be alone forever so what's the point of trying?

While not universally true (nothing is), most of y'all could find someone with the right attitude, perseverance and sound tactics

Id say so in my case though a relationship doesnt really appeal to me. I tried online dating for a few weeks precovid and got multiple matches and went on a couple dates so I dont think Im unattractive or anything like that.

As an Asian male who is 5'6, I can guarantee you that I was in the lower bracket in the dating scene. By the time I graduated college, I was able to get into a high paying job and was able to workout/diet my way to a beach body but even then I struggled. One of the biggest contributing factor was my ego, I didn't want to date women that were below my expectations. I wanted at minimum 8/10's. Most of these super hot babes were younger than me, but the hardest part was connecting to them on a social level. It always seemed like we were on two separate planets. I notice my dating life getting much easier when I started dating average looking/ older women, but then came the next thing I learned about dating... not all women are looking for long term relationships. One of the hardest part about dating is getting past the "honey moon" stage and any annoyances that you try to look past is eventually going to be with you for a lifetime if you plan on marrying this women.

I'm lucky I met my wife when I was doing community service at a soup kitchen. What was amazing was that it happened naturally, I wasn't even looking for a girlfriend when I do community service.

I can assure you doing all those things mean absolute jack if you look like me. You can't just tell people to "look better" and think if they are alone/single that they are not trying enough or putting effort in. How do you know I don't workout, dress nice, and work hard on my job and have a good income? You try living life as a 5'2 male and then come tell me if anything works out easy, then I might take your words and advice more seriously.

You're right, it's all about probability. Unfortunately the odds are infinitesimally small in this case, and those 2 examples you've brought up already took into the chances or whatever's left for me.

I'd say C for most people. You gotta keep your head up and keep trying.

I've known the odd person who's "forever-alone" type and is genuinely a good person with realistic standards, but it's very uncommon compared to people where it's more voluntary than they'll admit.

D. You can do everything right and be alone. Nobody is entitled to a relationship.

Eh a lot of people are depressed, and for them "just try harder" isn't quite that simple. Having said that, if someone goes on about being foreveralone, I do think there's some correlation with an attitude problem. Like incel groups that are over-the-top sexist.
