You should definitely submerge it in a tub of water.

Soap is for body. You need material cleaner (spray). And a vaccum for computers and small on Amazon.

I feel like water will just moisturize any debris in there and make it get sticky. Probably better off using the tried and true dry-clean method of leaving it near an ant colony for awhile and allowing them to do the work for you.

I usually just pull up all the key caps and then wash those. The inside of the actual keyboard, I just brush the dirt out and use some anti bacterial wipe.

Use only distilled water while it's unplugged and make sure it's completely dry before you plug it back in (you'll have to leave it out for a few days)

I cleaned my keyboard last week.

Pulled off all the key caps with a screwdriver and dumped them in a bucket of hot soapy water. After letting them sit for awhile, poured it through a colander and then set the keys out on a towel to dry.

Then used isopropanol, a rag, and Q tips to clean the keyboard base. Then put the keys back on.

do something like that

or if you just have a bunch of crumbs or something you can use compressed air to blow it all out and then wipe it down

I was lazy and just wiped my keys down with a paper towel wetted with rubbing alcohol. Seemed to work great.
