I have, one time I was helping a family member try to sell their vehicle and when some jerks who had been bugging me to buy a timeshare called again I tried to sell the vehicle to them. Got the asshole to hang up on me. Got a good laugh out of it.

My dad does this ALL THE TIME. Like nearly every single time they call.
I don't see the appeal personally. I'd rather just hang up immediately and get on with my day.

That said I usually don't get them anymore because I have my phone on silencing all calls that aren't in my address book. If someone really wants me that badly they can leave a message and I'll call them back.

And if I know I'm suppose to wait for a call I can take it off that for a bit.

"I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but that 'database' that says I've had an accident... it doesn't exist. Your bosses are lying to you. They're not good people."

Once I convinced one that I didn't need Sirius XM, so that was fun.

Mostly I hang up within 2-3 seconds of answering the phone though.
