? I seen reports that Russia is having a hard time accomplishing what they want. I don't know how strong Ukrain's military is but I'd think for a supposed super power, Russia would've been winning by now. Maybe they want Ukraine in tact unlike the middle east where they just bomb the shit out of any habitable building but maybe Russia's military power just sucks ass now.

Russia thought it was gonna be a lot easier than it has been, which is a large part of the problem. Also, Ukraine has strong people who aren't going to roll over.

How fast do you think they're supposed to win? It took the US even over a month to conquer Baghdad. And that was with even less restraint then the Russians are showing now.

Could just be they're trying to accomplish their goals with as little as possible and risk fewer casualties.

And despite the invasion, I doubt Putin and company have any interest in having thousands of innocent civilians dead by escalating this with more troops.

They are holding back because they want the country intact and want to avoid outrage from killing civilians. Really if Putin was as evil as some believe , he would just carpet bomb the shit out of the place with his jets and artillery. Drop tons of bombs on cities and landmarks. But he's like an ex boyfriend that got dumped , really he just wants Ukraine to love him and come back.

He dramatically underestimated Ukrainian resolve and their hero president, and he's losing massive face in front of the whole world. Like his threats to mobilize his nukes , he's not gonna do shit, and Ukraine isn't gonna be intimidated.

No artillery support
Not enough fuel
Not enough food
Not enough munitions
Mostly conscripts

He absolutely is. Nobody who's part of the conversation thinks he wants to turn the country into glass; everybody knows he wants to conquer the territory to add it to his legacy. Invading a country with the goal of eliminating its President and subjugating its people under dictatorial rule is absolutely an evil act.

I think people are believing hype (read: propaganda) that was never there. It has been 4 days. The idea that a country like Ukraine would fall apart in a week was fanciful.

Russia has done plenty wrong in terms of planning and execution, but not only are they well on their way to taking control of Ukraine, but they haven't even used many of their more potent weapons.

I'm not saying what he's doing isn't evil, I'm saying it could be a lot worse. He's got all the bombs and artillery to easily level Ukraine, but he isn't going for total war. He's actually trying to get Ukraine to give up , but they Aren't holding back and are pounding a confused Russian military.

He is mostly trying to avoid killing civilians , he could be dropping bombs that would wipe out thousands at a time and force Zelensky to surrender. He isn't unleashing all his power on Ukraine.
