If the comment is too long it just cuts off. You can't click it to go to the comment and read the entire thing either (which i'm 99% sure you used to be able to), you have to scroll through to find it...what's the fuckin point?

I think it works like click bait and it ups engagement metrics if you then spend a long time scrolling through comments looking for the one you lost

I've never seen this. Might be a new feature that they're experimenting with. They tend to send those to people at random.

Stuff like that usually doesn't take THAT long. Do you have any weird plugins that affect Youtube? And does this happen everywhere, or only on certain channels?

Happens on all videos, and the only PlugIn that affects Youtube that i'm aware of is AdBlock.
