Well I certainly I appreciate you finally being up-front about it, so that I can tag you accordingly and never forget it.

Its so easy to say it is never justifiable to execute children. It is so easy to read accounts of how the Romanovs died and say well obviously thats extremely fucked up, thats evil, that cannot ever be the way to go

To the best of my knowledge from bits & pieces Ive read about it, before NATO got involved Yugoslavia had already been breaking apart over the years due to infighting between ethnic groups. The United Nations found that a f*** ton of war crimes were happening and NATO got approval from the United Nations to help them with intervening. Marketplaces were bombed, even a genocide happened.

I don't think killing children is a good or ideal thing, and in the vast majority of situations it should not be done.

My example is one of the only times in which I think the necessity of cutting off all paths of return for a overthrown monarch etc. of it outway the morally repulsive nature of it.

I had already put Carly on ignore at some point in the past, and I don't even remember why. I clearly made the right choice, though.

Yugoslavia was dead the instant that Tito died. It just took a long time dying.
It was a country that never should have been, created out of a dead empire by Western Europeans who wanted a country that would never be a threat to their hegemony. They made it by taking 8 different ethnic groups who didn't like each other and cramming them into one set of borders. That it lasted as long as it did was at first a testament to how tired the people were after the first world war, and after the second because Tito ruled with an iron fist but was able to keep the country free of Soviet influence.

If anything, NATO involvement in Yugoslavia was too late.

My parents are from Yugoslavia and nato getting involved was the right thing to do. The only regret is that they did not get involved sooner
