it's intimidating, difficult and frustrating. i've been at it for over a decade and i rarely get replies and second dates have only happened a couple of times. i don't know what's wrong with me =/

i tried Hinge and it seems so limiting in what you can put in your profile, especially vs OkCupid. i've seen so many people on Hinge where i have absolutely no idea what that person likes or is about.

If you struggle to get matches don't be afraid to change up your profile. People legit will keep the same pictures for years with no success and wonder what's wrong lol

My virgin friend had a ton of success with Hinge. Proof? No longer a virgin.

I get the best quality matches on Hinge out of that, Tinder, and Bumble, and more that lead to dates/sex

as an adult who doesn't drink, i feel like my options where it's "appropriate" to hit on someone in public are almost zero. hitting on someone at a 'normal' place like the grocery store just seems crass.

So glad I met my wife in person. We worked together for a few years and got to know each other and just decided to give dating a try. The rest is history.

In all seriousness, join Meetup and look for groups you like. They usually frown upon people purposefully trying to date, but a great way to make friends and get a social group and that can often lead to more.

Online dating is pretty miserable. I had my first date from a dating app the other week. It was not at all the nightmare that my social anxiety had led me to expect. She didnt immediately unmatch and block my number after we went our separate ways.

Im not attractive though so getting matches is rare for me. Good conversation even more so.

The point is that they have worked for tons of people, including myself, so there is no reason to turn people away from them. Let them try and decide if it is for them or not.

I did online dating for awhile. I enjoyed it, but you have to view it as just having fun. If you treat it as a last ditch effort and get attached to profiles, you're gonna be miserable.

Ghosting is going to happen, but it gets easier.

Damn yall really need some more self confidence.
