Ah, but the society we live in divides those beings into binary categories. Someone Decided that, and Someone Else Decided differently. To whom are you more loyal, the Decider or the Rebel?

The Constitution... does not care. Neither does the Civil Rights Act. You may not treat a man differently at work because he is a Rebel against what the Decider says about men. And you may not treat a woman differently at work because she is a Rebel against what the Decider says about women.

I never call anyone but friends at work by their first name, and I like to be treated the same way. I consider being overly informal a little disrespectful.

I've also noticed that, left to my own devices, I use the first name more often with female subordinates than with male subordinates, and in different situations. So to avoid any appearance of favoritism I use Mr/Ms./Title last name almost always. Title last name in writing, of course.

Interesting.

I've been in the workforce for 28 years now, and there isn't a single person that I've addressed as "Mr." or "Miss/Ms./Mrs." at any job I've had.

Everyone, from the people that owned the company I worked for at 16 all the way to the bosses I currently work for have been introduced to me using their first names.

Using they/them instead of he/she is so awkward. I dont think i can ever get used to is.
I suspect it sounds awkward because, as you just demonstrated, you don't know how sentence structure actually works.

The most important thing, beyond pronouns, is to just not make assumptions/generalize based on their appearance.

Like, if they present masculine, don't call them over and go "Hey hey hey, you're a dude, that means you like football. You watched the super bowl right?" Or exclude them from something based on usual binary norms.

That's like 90% of the work.

One of my favorite coworkers is AFAB* non-binary, and he once complained to me that all the new hires treated him "like a girl, which I'm not" while aggressively flexing their surprisingly well-muscled arm.
I told them I understood. It led directly to me coming out to them via Facebook message.
*assigned female at birth. Also they're fun and are a she/he/they enby, though I try to avoid using she/her because that's obviously the pronoun set they hear the most.

That's not how you would say it though.

"We have a new employee starting tomorrow. Let's be sure to give them a warm welcome and help them out with any questions they may have while they learn their role in the company."

Perfectly normal sentence that avoids any pronoun issues.

Non Binary people are the hardest workers. Its like that scene from Selena, Mexican Americans need to work twice as hard. They need to prove they are more Mexican than Mexicans and more American than Americans, the same too goes for Non Binary.

From your second sentence onwards, I would be confused thinking there are more than 1 new employee coming in.

But thats exactly how youd phrase is if you didnt know the gender of the new employee. And Im not even talking about being non-binary.

Youre training the new hire. Make sure they know everything you know by the end of their shift.

Remind (employees name) to clean up after themselves when theyre dont with lunch.

All perfectly normal sentences.

If you get confused a lot at work, it's really best to ask for help before it becomes a problem. Does your boss know you're struggling? Are they working with you?

they/them will never feel right, as someone obsessed with english

theres only one of you, its just bad english
I have been using singular they/them my entire life. Heck, I will sometimes use it even when I know someone's sex/gender.

You might need to revisit your English

They are coming into work tomorrow. Let's give them a warm welcome.

That took almost one whole brain cell to figure out, so I can understand why you'd be confused.

Im giving some people credit: as if saying they is hard. Just say their name and you can bypass this and still be respectful.
