I didn't even know if I liked the game for the first several days. It just drops you in with minimal knowledge of what you're supposed to be doing, and it's frustrating.

But once it clicks and I started charting out paths of things to do at certain times of the day, that hooked me.

I still don't think it's a 10/10 game by any means, but I definitely like it more than Dishonored.

I hope to play it eventually. Hopefully its a better experience than 12 minutes. I went into that game thinking it was going to be incredible, and it was just frustration after frustration with a weird way of actually finishing the game.

yeah when things clicked for me, I couldnt put the game down. To the point where I think I burned out towards the end. After I finished it I lost in interest in going back in, even to mess around with it.

to the other guy, it is a better experience and game than 12 Minutes.

I do have to say, there is a LOT of cryptic puzzles and mechanics in this game. Like, Simon's Quest cryptic. And most of them are completely pointless

some of them lead to special weapons. but yeah, most of them aren't that important.

The problem with Deathloop is that once you figure out the rules and limitations of the loop system, you realize the deck is stacked so heavily in your favor that you basically can't lose.

The very first rare weapon I ever found was the silenced Uzi in that scientist's bunker, and it was the only weapon I ever used throughout the whole game because it was so broken.

Its problem is that it tries to be two games at once, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. I feel like the start to finish experience is good, but it lacks anything beyond that.

It could have done with slightly more randomness in some aspects, and it could have had a better, more variable finale rather than just a set routine.

This is my biggest problem with the game

the game lays out for you exactly the step by step process to do most missions

but then it has these hidden cryptic sidequests that reward you with basically nothing

Yeah, I basically found one weapon I liked (plus the stun darts) and the teleport ability and called it a day.

Thinking about it, I think I tried Havoc and the other two slabs like once. One thing they could have done is made something that rendered certain slabs more or less effective, so you'd maybe consider shelving your favorites and trying something else.

It's my least favorite of the recent Arkane games. Still solid though

The fact that you get three lives per time of day instead of per loop means you never ever worry about losing progress. It's just too easy.
