If so, did you have a good time? I have the opportunity to go to one in June but I'm not sure if I would like it.

Nah, despite really liking anime/Japanese stuff in general, I get an uncomfortable feeling being around stereotypical weeaboos.

I did for the one I might go to. They held one last year, too. It was hard to get a vibe for it. The YouTuber spent a lot of time talking about what he bought from the convention. There was some neat cosplay from what I saw.

I've went to AX LA for a few years its really fun. You don't have to dress up. I just mainly toured the show room and bought a lot of cool stuff and saw some fun cosplays. It's a good time.

I've been to Otakon and Katsucon. They're pretty fun, but the luster wears off quickly.

Youmacon in Detroit several times. I loved it. I didnt dress up but a ton of people did. So many cool things and rare titles at the booths

I'd look to see they've got a schedule for what's going on at the convention. You basically have a giant building full of anime fans, many cosplaying, and people selling anime/manga merch, intermixed with rooms where you might get to meet someone who works in the industry or they might host an anime viewing, or something like that.

Yes but I really only go to buy / look at obscure stuff that's either hard to find or super expensive online. I got all of Haruhi for like $40 which isn't an enormous discount but if you buy enough of this junk it adds up.
