Do you think her parents are terrible for still letting her do this?

15 y/o Tik-Tok star, Ava Majury from Florida and her parents have DEFENDED selling SELFIES of herself to an 18 y/o stalker who tried to kill her last year when he bust open their house with a shotgun and her ex-cop father shot him DEAD!!

Now she's revealing she is STAYING on the site making 1700 a VIDEO despite safety risks!!

Ava, her retired cop father Rob and mother Kimberley appeared on GMA to share details on the shooting that happened in Naples when Eric Rohan Justin traveled from Maryland to their home with the intent to kill Ava at 4:30am when he blasted open the front door to their home

He was trying to get her attention for months when he PAID for her phone number from her FRIENDS and then paid them for pictures of her that were not on the internet.

Ava had direct contact with him when she sold him TWO selfies for $300 EACH which he paid for on venmo.

She talked to her parents if she can do business with him PRIVATELY and they agreed and she told Eric to stop going through her friends and getting information on her and to just go straight to her and purchaes it all from her.

He then asked for more explicit content and that is when Rob, her father got involved and told Eric to remember that Ava is a minor and to stop ontacting her.

She then blocked him but he kept SENDING money to her at 159.19, then 100 and then 368.50 but Ava however did NOT refuse the money either.

A friend of Ava's warned her that this guy was dangerous cause he contacted him to tell him he was going to hurt her but they all shrugged it off

But Ava and her Dad said "He was young, he lives in Maryland, probably doesn't have the means to act on these things"

Sometime later Eric then showed up in the middle of the night and shot open the door as Ava, her Mom and 2 brothers ran upstairs to a bedroom and her father grabbed a gun and shot him dead. The teen was NEVER pictured however.

Eric was wearing a bulletproof vest and had multiple ammo and 2 phones that had hundreds of pics of her ....

Rob was never charged under Stand your Ground laws who said "Someone came to kill me.I had to do what i had to do to protect my family and i made sure of it"

The family moved and Ava is now homeschooled but she is STILL selling selfies of herself online despite this as her parents feel she is making a good living off this by selling videos for 1700 a pop.

Ava said she has 3 tiktok accounts so she could hve one brand come to her and be like "Oh, i'll do 1000 for one video on your main account and i'll be like, oh great, i have 2 other accounts that are different types of people there. So altogether i'm making 1700 just off my name"

They moved from NJ to Florida to live a quieter life where taxes are LOW and that's when Ava started her tiktok career

Ava's parents say her photos are "innocent" and allowed her to sell them if it makes her money.

It was reported however that another stalker offered her $1000 for her phone number when it was discovered he was a SEX OFFENDER.

But Rob and Kimberly says it's too late now to pull her daughter from tiktok now as she's living the AMERICAN DREAM who said "It's like Christmas Everyday, because then you see it buid. I think it's going to help her heal. It sounds corny but i don't know what else you would do it for. Why would we allow them to stop her? Maybe she's meant to bring awareness to all this and she's going to be a huge star. I'm not going to stop my daughter from living her american dream. I can't wait to see her succeed in this business"

Do you think these are awful parents for allowing her to keep doing this?

Don't see a problem with them allowing her, since:
  1. She is completely okay with this.
  2. She's enjoying making the money off her name.
  3. She's not allowed to do explicit content until she is 18 y/o.
  4. Her dad can kill any creepos who show up with big guns, and has before.
  5. She's not giving out her phone number to strangers, only her Venmo, and she's put the kibosh on her "friends" selling her number.
It sounds like this falls "within reason." I doubt there will be another stalker who goes THAT far, and if there is... it was(n't) nice knowing him.

Yeah I don't see a problem with parents pimping out their children like this either.

The dad's retired, presumably with a cushy enough pension to give his family comfort, and he still condones this. Fucking scum.

Nah this is horrible parenting.

You really shouldn't be encouraging your kids to do something that puts their life at risk. Especially since the dad's solution seems to be just killing them.

Stalkers can be a very serious threat and that dad might not always be nearby with a shotgun.

She's an influencer who is selling selfies of herself. Doesn't sound too much different than any other influencer, aside from that she's doing selfie commissions. Are you guys saying that those influencers are putting their lives at risk, too? None of it is explicit content and it seems like they're making it clear what's okay and what isn't, and it's unlikely that there will be another stalker that goes THAT far after what happened to the first one. Unless I missed something.

It's not what the daughter's doing that's the issue. The dad thinks he can handle everything with a gun. What happens when his daughter goes out to a party and one of the stalkers follows her there?

I understand that stalkers are always going to be a problem and its certainly not the victims fault. But that incident put their entire family at risk. Imagine if one of them actually got hurt, he'd be singing a much different tune. It's just incredibly irresponsible.

Honestly, I'm not sold on kids being influencers in the first place. Seems like irresponsible parenting, and once you open that door these scenarios aren't significantly worse than that. I know there's no way around it, and I'm weird, but it just feels skeezy. Equal to or worse than being a child actor, because at least an actor is playing a role. Influencers are closer to talk show hosts, except they're always taking questions from the audience

A friend of mine acquired a couple of stalkers (was pictured in an article about their company) and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, let alone a child

I also know this guy in his 30s who was very focused on following and paying influencers and vtubers who all "happened" to be underage. It's just odd. At least he's been doing it so long that they're probably all 18 by now.

I just do not understand it from any direction. I guess if you're poor and want to use your daughter for money that's gross but I understand the logic. If you're a kid and just really want attention and don't want to do well in school, I get it.

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

Seems fine to me. I mean, sure a guy showed up with a shotgun and tried to kill her, but that happens every day

Does he? I don't recall seeing that part, but if he does, then I agree with you.

This is also a fair point - a lot of the creepos are twice her age. And her lack of maturity probably didn't register with me last night even though she seems beyond her years.

And this part is critical and a piece of information we don't know. Are the parents making her do this? Or is Ava doing this on her own volition? It felt like the latter to me, and the parents are justifying this (and probably charging her rent).
